The feast of Jean Baptiste de la Salle was commemorated at the College des Freres in the heart of Jerusalem. The event was attended by the De La Salle Brothers, priests, invited guests, friends of the college, and this year, it was particularly celebrated with the graduating students who are going soon to leave the school.
During the ceremony, Vicar Patricarch Mgs William Shomali delivered a homily where he highlighted various aspects from the life of Saint Jean Baptiste de la Salle and his significant contributions to education. He also imparted valuable advice to the graduating students, encouraging them to uphold and embody the Lasallian values throughout their lives.
Brother Daoud Kassabry, the school principal, expressed gratitude to all those present at the ceremony. He extended special thanks to His Eminence the vicar, Mgs Attallah Hanna, members of the pontifical mission, administrators, teachers, and parents for their support and presence during the celebration.
As a token of remembrance and blessing, two bishops presented each graduating student with gifts from the school. These gifts included the Holy Gospel, a rosary, and a book about Jean Baptiste de la Salle.
