“We Have Seen His Glory Shining in Our Lives” – A Christmas Carol Evening at Frères Secondary School – Jerusalem

In a Christmas atmosphere filled with reverence and joy, Frères Secondary School – Jerusalem hosted today a Christmas carols celebration for the Nativity and the Advent season, under the theme: “We have seen His glory shining in our lives.”

This year’s gathering carried an added significance, as it coincided with the celebration of the 150th Jubilee of Frères School—one hundred and fifty years of education, shaping young minds, and serving Jerusalem and its people.

The program opened with the Christmas message read and chanted by Mr. Nabil Al-Masou, followed by a welcoming address by the school principal, Brother Daoud Kassabri.

The hall then resonated with the voices of the students through the Frères Secondary School Choir, led by Ms. Claire Ghazawi, as the carols became a shared prayer that lifted hearts and renewed hope.

We were also honored by the presence of His Grace Bishop Hanna Atallah, who delivered a meaningful blessing and emphasized the spiritual values of the feast, adding depth and warmth to the evening.

The celebration was further enriched by the participation of the Choir of the Cathedral of Saint James in Jerusalem, conducted by Mr. Raymond Qamar, in a beautiful moment that reminded everyone that Christmas touches all of Jerusalem—and that the voice of peace still endures.

At the conclusion of the evening, the school expressed its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event: the organizers, teachers, students, both choirs, and every helping hand—hoping that Christmas will remain a light we choose to live every day.

A special note of appreciation goes to Hilda Ajrab, a sixth-grade student, who excellently served as the master of ceremonies for this wonderful celebration.

Wishing you all a blessed Christmas… Christ is born, Alleluia!
