Fratelli Project: Emergency Humanitarian Aid Project

Dear Friends and supporters,

The past two months have been unlike anything we’ve experienced before. As Lebanon faces one of its toughest crises, the Fratelli family has come together to make a difference, no matter how overwhelming the challenges.

The Emergency Humanitarian Aid Project has been the heart of our work. Over this short time, we’ve managed to reach 976 families around our center and 1129 families through other institutions, delivering food, mattresses, blankets, medicines, and hygiene essentials.

But the numbers alone can’t capture the reality we’ve witnessed.
When we visited families, we saw firsthand the catastrophic situations they endure. Parents shared stories of fleeing their homes with nothing but their children in tow. Some families now live in overcrowded shelters or makeshift tents, with roofs made of plastic sheets barely holding back the winter cold. Others don’t even have mattresses or blankets because they had to leave everything behind in a desperate rush to escape the bombings.

At our registration office, the emotions were just as raw. Families arrived with heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes, recounting their struggles to feed their children or even find a safe place to stay. There were moments when even we, who are used to hearing difficult stories, found ourselves overwhelmed by the sorrow and courage of these people.

These moments weren’t just about signing up for aid, they were about seeing the humanity in each family, hearing their pain, and sharing in their hope.
Amid this hardship, there has been one bright spot: the joy we see in the children who come to our center. Every weekday from 10 AM to 12 PM, our space transforms into a haven filled with laughter, play, and creativity.

What truly touches us is how early the children arrive sometimes as early as 8 AM eager to escape their struggles and spend time in a place where they feel safe and loved. Over time, we’ve seen them blossom. They’ve become more respectful, more confident, and more collaborative. It’s a reminder of why we do what we do.
None of this would have been possible without you—our supporters, donors, and volunteers. Your generosity and belief in our mission are what keep us going.

To our staff and volunteers, your commitment has been inspiring. Many of you work long hours, coming in early and leaving late, driven by love for this mission. And to our donors, you are the reason we can provide not just physical aid but also hope to families who desperately need it.

There’s still so much to do, but we know we can continue this journey with your support. Whether it’s sharing our story, making a contribution, or simply keeping us in your thoughts, every action makes a difference.
