Bethlehem University Expresses Heartfelt Gratitude to Its Irish Benefactors

Bethlehem University is deeply grateful to its generous benefactors in Ireland, whose unwavering support continues to make a lasting impact on our students, especially in these particularly challenging times in the Holy Land.

During a recent visit to Ireland, Brother Hernán Santos, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University, and Brother Jack Curran, Vice President for Advancement, had the pleasure of meeting with the De La Salle Christian Brothers in Dublin, as well as long-time supporters of the University: Professor Emeritus Mark Richardson, Dr. Niall Holohan, and Ambassador Isolde Moylan of the Irish charity “Friends of Bethlehem University: Ireland.” These individuals, along with other benefactors, have been steadfast in their commitment to our mission of providing quality higher education in the Holy Land.

Reflecting on the visit, Brother Hernán said, “The generosity and faithfulness of our Irish benefactors serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration to our students and staff at Bethlehem University. At a time when our region faces extraordinary challenges, their continued support is a reminder that we are not alone in this journey.”

Brother Jack echoed this sentiment, adding, “Meeting with our friends in Ireland was a powerful experience. Their deep care for the students and mission of Bethlehem University touched our hearts, and their prayers and donations sustain the life-changing opportunities we offer to young people in the Holy Land.”

Brother Hernan and Brother Jack visited John and Teresa O’Hagan, two longtime benefactors. John shared his reflections: “Supporting Bethlehem University is not just about giving to a cause; it’s about investing in the future of students who have the potential to transform their communities and the world. Seeing the impact that our contributions make is profoundly rewarding.”

The support of these individuals and organizations has been essential in providing scholarships, improving educational programs, and ensuring that Bethlehem University can continue to serve as a beacon of peace and hope in the region. The contributions of our benefactors empower the next generation of leaders in Palestine and beyond, enabling them to achieve their educational dreams despite the many obstacles they face.

Bethlehem University extends its deepest gratitude to all our benefactors in Ireland and around the world. Your continued partnership sustains our mission, uplifts our students, and provides a source of hope for a brighter future. We look forward to welcoming many of you to our campus in the Holy Land. Your presence among us is a blessing and deeply appreciated.
