La Salle Jerusalem: opening of the American class for Grade 9 students

On Friday, September 6, a new chapter began at the Collège des Frères with the opening of the American class for Grade 9 students. The meaningful ceremony, filled with joy, showcased a variety of activities performed by the students: speeches, dance, poetry, and singing.

Ms. Reem Jabr, the class coordinator, welcomed the distinguished guests and introduced the program. Andrew Bahbah presented a short film about the school, while Christian Saeed and Tia Barakat shared their aspirations to continue their studies in the USA. Issa Salameh recited a heartfelt poem, and Angelina Banayout captivated the audience with a beautiful song, showcasing her exceptional voice.

Issa Deeb, the deputy director, welcomed guests from the American Palestinian Office and spoke about the school’s vision and the new program being offered to students. Ms. Flavua Kamel, the academic dean, detailed the program and expressed gratitude to all involved.

Finally, Ms. Carissa Gonzalez from the American Palestinian Office encouraged the students as they embark on this new journey and congratulated the school on this remarkable initiative.
