International Debate: La Salle Beit Hanina

International Debate: students from Grade 8 and 9 debated at La Salle Beit Hanina with Fabian Lessenich, online-Guest from Berlin: “Is ChatGPT more harmful or more beneficial for education at school?” – a challenging topic for education!

Debate Exchange with Students from Germany! For one week, 8 German students with 2 teachers have been guests at our school, hosted by families of 9th Grade Debate students of our school. The students knew each other through online Debate sessions that were held during the whole scholastic year. It was a great joy for everybody to meet now in person, to debate together in our Debate Center and to visit places in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Jericho. The students had a lot of fun also with a sport day and on top of this with doing together music and a lot of dancing in the farewell party with the whole class of Grade 9. The students became close, and at the end, it was a bit sad to say good-bye. The exchange week was a big success thanks to Ms Nivin Jahshan’s excellent work in preparation of the week and in guiding the students and to Dr Ingeborg Tiemann, the coordinator of this program. Many thanks also to Mr Mohammad Nimer for doing a sports day with the students! Last but not least many thanks to the families who hosted the German students generously. – All exchange students look forward to meeting again in August in Germany.
